Blues for the Inevitable Evening

"Wherever I may be I find myself looking to the sun at the end
of the day. I see photographs in all I do. Sometimes the light is dulled by an
overcast sky, or worse, a charming, stormy evening. No matter though. Once the
sun reaches the horizon at the end of day, I know the evening will soon begin
and the light will start to fade. I was in Rockport on a bright and sunny
afternoon as the sun started to touch the horizon. In the harbor, the light
grew thick in it’s death dive and fell upon three small vessels lying in wait
for the dawn. I persevered the scene just before the shadows crept across the
harbor and blotted out a wonderful nautical moment."
