I came upon a special image in Georgia. It was an overcast
winter day. I came to this cemetery for other reasons, but when
I found this stone, it felt quite more than stone. It stood
alone… and it stood out. It spoke yet needs no words. I first
thought I would photograph it in a black and white study, yet,
after taking the image home, it spoke to me… it felt to me… in
the natural overcast light you see in the image. She is no
longer with us… but stays with you. She emotes a lightness, a
sadness… and eternity. The daughter and sister wanted you to
remember her this way. She has become part of my work and I’m
glad she entered my life. I hope it does the same for you. |
