A Hudson Valley Doorway

 During the second half of 2004 the images started coming quickly and magically, and as usual, quite diverse.  I was in the Hudson Valley region searching for river scenes when on a bright Saturday afternoon, I found “Hudson Valley Doorway”.  The light was soft since the door was not in direct sunlight and it caused the colors to glow.  I’ve taken many doorways in my travels, but this one has both a serious as well as a contrasting smile to it.  The door just made me feel refreshed. It was one of those afternoons that bequeathed many images, all different yet all Barry.  The Boston Ivy toward the top of the door is wonderful, and the image was taken on the weekend that the Boston Red Sox clinched the pennant.  Very appropriate since it’s the same kind of ivy that is in Fenway Park!
