I walked into the cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, New York looking for the grave of Washington Irvington.  I found the grave and as I was getting ready to leave, a soft, quiet, gently rain began to fall.  The sun was peeking through the spring foliage, but the rain continued to massage the earth as I strode through the trees.  I came upon the angel from her left side and was taken by the pose.  I tried to preserve the motion and the softness of the rain in the composition.  “The Angel in the Rain” has preserved the moment for you.
